Strength in Surrender: Embracing God's Grace for Total Health and Wellness

Discover the transformative journey to total health and wellness by surrendering our own strength, acknowledging weaknesses, and tapping into God's grace, as explored through 2 Corinthians 12:9, finding strength not in our abilities but in embracing His power for lasting change.

We may find it hard and frustrating at times to continue in our lifestyle journey of total health and wellness in spirit, mind, emotion, and body.  This is when we have stopped looking to the author and finisher of our faith and began relying upon our own strength and abilities.  Our own strengths and efforts tend to lead to failure.  We cannot do this in our own strength.  Isaiah 40:30 says "Even youths grow tired and weary and young men stumble and fall". There is always an end to our own strength.  However, we meet the beginning of God and His strength each time we yield and surrender our own will by approaching God through the faith process. So, the answer is not to give up and quit but to acknowledge our weaknesses and short comings as an opportunity to receive God’s strength, power, and grace that is ready and available to assist us in any area of our life. His strength manifested by His grace, is always enough to help us make the necessary changes on our journey.  Nothing is impossible when we are able to see that our strength begins and ends in Him.  We are more than able to do all things through Christ that strengthens us.  Our confession and obedience must be that the weak says they are strong.  I am strong enough to get more activity, I am strong enough to drink plenty of water, I am strong enough to not overeat, I am strong enough to make sound decisions in my food choices, I am strong enough to cast my cares such as stress, anxiety, and worries, on Him and I am strong enough to overcome any bad health habits.

2 Corinthians 12:9 "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness".
